maddie & ryan reached out for help designing their wedding items. we worked together on save the dates, invitations, handouts, seating charts, and more. they are both from toledo, ohio and wanted to incorporate imagery from their hometown into the items.

first, we worked on the save the date. they wanted it to feel like a fun retro postcard, and knew they'd want to hand out a matching map to guests at the wedding, so we worked on the map first. i illustrated some toledo landmarks and the city legend of the frogman (so fun!) and added details of the important wedding locations. then, i incorporated those elements into a postcard design for the save the date.

next, we worked on invitations. they wanted the main invitation to read more traditional than the save the date, while incorporating some of the elements we had designed so far. they also requested some additional inserts that had information for their guests.

the wedding was beautiful, and the designs looked great in person!
